Title: Question Of The Century
Post by: Towntalk on September 14, 2014, 12:20:33 PM
How many of  you great and wonderful folks will be visiting the new and fantastically beautiful casino? If everything works out, Austintown will exceed Boardman; Canfield; and Poland in terms of prosperity, and Boardman's shopping district will shrivel up and become like 422 as new businesses locate in Austintown to take advantage of all the traffic and loot.
And the choir said a voicetress AMEN SISTER AMEN!

MANY PHOTOS OF THE CASINO/RACE TRACK

There are about 70 pictures to view that were taken by TheVindicator's Chief Photographer.

GOODBYE BOARDMAN ... HELLO AUSTINTOWN ... Why would anyone wanting to spend the weekend gambling at our new racino want to stay at some Boardman flea bag hotel and make the drive between Boardman and Austintown twice a day when they can find a wondrous hotel in Austintown just a short jaunt away from the Racino?
AND THE CONGREGATION WITH ONE UNITED VOICE CRIED OUT IN SUCH EXUBERANCE THAT IT WAS HEARD AROUND THE WORLD: "AMEN SISTER TT AMEN!"

You sir are a spendthrift compared to me ... I'm so tight with my money that I make Jack Benny look like a spendthrift if you know what I mean. For those youngins who don't know who Jack Benny was, he was the king of misers.
What is a spendthrift?
A spendthrift (also called profligate) is someone who spends money prodigiously and who is extravagant and recklessly wasteful, often to a point where the spending climbs well beyond his or her means. The word derives from an obsolete sense of the word "thrift" to mean prosperity rather than frugality, so that a "spendthrift" is one who has spent their prosperity.

I'm not a gambler so I probably will never go there.

Judging from this story, I suspect that the Racino will be kept busy.

I will not be going.

1 - can't afford iit.
2 - I don't condone horse (or dog, or any other animal) racing.
