Title: Road Flooding Prediction Comes True
Post by: jay on October 28, 2014, 08:13:01 PM
During the summer, a new storm drain was installed on McCollum Road just east of the No.15 Fire Station.  The drain sets back from the curb and consists of a flat casting at ground level.  The question was what will happen to the new drain when leaves and other debris cover the casting?

We learned the answer today.  The drain is totally blocked with leaves and McCollum road now has a large pool of water extending from the curb to the middle of the street.

The storm sewer was reconfigured this morning.
The problem should now be solved.
