Downtown businesses just don't get it

With Claire back on the job, you can bet that you will see her promoting more events. The lady that had the job before really didn't know how to promote downtown events.

It is my opinion as a former downtown restaurant owner that perhaps our new Federal Plaza manager could have made it a project for herself to recruit businesses to participate in this event.For years I was often unaware of upcoming events until they happened partly due to my being busy with my business and partly because of poor plaza management and lack of advertising.

Downtown businesses and organizations should be flocking to participate in the Peace Race on Sunday, October 5.

I doubt if any politicians, members of YAEDA, members of Downtown 2010, businesses owners, or any of the restaurant operators will be there.
