I posted an interesting article this week on my website, taken from an in issue
of "Printers Ink" magazine, published in 1922.

What made the article interesting was the story it told of the City of Youngstown
standing behind one of its local businesses, which was in financial trouble, ie:
Republic Rubber Co.

Republic Rubber is now long gone, but the message the article puts forth is more
true today than ever - that of supporting local businesses, and the good it does
for the local economy and the preservation of local jobs.

Jay - hats off to you, for tirelessly promoting downtown Youngstown.

If it's Thursday, you can find me downtown enjoying some delicious Greek chicken soup and salad at Capitol Grill.  I was amused at the special offered by the new place in the food court (which is so far nameless).  They were featuring what I call a Brier Hill "steak" sandwich and fries.  I remember my Mom making me those when I was a kid.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
