The Youngstown Neighborhood Leadership Council already does many of the things you have suggested.

 There is no question about the fact that we have a large number of great people here on mahoningvalley.info that are very active in their own parts of the city, but what about combining all that talent into a single group that would use our individual talents on a citywide level using the leadership that is already in place in the 4^th and 7^th Wards.

This group would be separate from any other citywide group, nor would it duplicate the work being done by other citywide groups, but would use what they have learned to help build up more neighborhood groups.

There are areas of the city that do not have neighborhood groups just as there are neighborhood groups that are not active, but could be with a little help from those that are.

This would be a real challenge, and there will be parts of the city where it would be impossible to start and maintain an active neighborhood group and we know where they are, but if we could sit down with the clergy and explain how our group would be different from ACTION, perhaps we could bring about some positive change.

Finally, keep the politics out of the equation and make it neighbor helping neighbor.
