i picked up an application on monday and i was told that i was too old to apply for the job. this incident reminds me the response that my parents gave to me and my siblings when asked why dad was not a volunteer firefighter in our villiage. my parents response was that dad's bucket had hole in it and his hose was too short.

A new YFD firefighter exam will be given in August.  A story about the exam was on the front page of the Monday, June 13 newspaper.
