Sue them for what? If both are on the ballot what is the big deal? Could it be that the 5 ward group is afraid that the 7 ward group will prevail? And again, what if there is a tie with both getting the same number of votes? You couldn't sue the BOE which has no control over how people vote. Again, the seven ward group could sue if their amendment is not on the ballot. This isn't China or Russia you know.

PD

Nope. Just sue the board of elections board and file a complaint with the secretary of state

Bring in the ACLU and the Justice Department. This whole mess needs to be investigated at the very highest level. Also demand a United Nations team come in to monitor the November election, preferably a team from Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran.

PD

It was under advisement of the Law director that both could be submitted
If the boe doesn't submit a lawsuit will be waiting for them

Sounds like council is still playing games here....why in the he** did they feel the
need to submit two proposals for the same thing? Hopefully, the B.O.E. will see
through the bull sh** and will certify the proposal put forth by THE CITIZENS
versus that submitted by council themselves.

Council fought the process tooth-and-nail the whole way along, now this idiocy
at the eleventh hour.....

As things stand right now, two different issues concerning Youngstown Wards may be on the November ballot. What if the two end up in a tie with no clear winner?

While we've been flapping our gums here, the BOE has thrown a wrench into the gears with it's own twist that will upset the masses, so put the fund raiser on hold, and wait to see what the BOE will do.
