Its called splitting the opposition.  Since there are only a few antifrackers that cause trouble, having dueling meetings requires them to split their forces to cover both.

So how many of the antifrackers are locals?  Seems like whenever one is arrested he or she is from another state.  I would think that most people around here are silently supporting the gas industry as they see it as a way for the valley to again prosper.

I enjoyed the Vindy article this morning regarding tonight's meeting. Council already has made up their minds, but will still give citizens a right to voice their opinions...what a crock....
Why should anyone go and waste their breath and time with this bunch?

Citiznes need to voice their opinions at the ballot box...but that is what, 3 years away?...and council folks will pocket their $90,000 dollars in the meantime.

OK, the information finally appeared in the newspaper today, October 16, the very day of the hearing.

Is this a coincidence?  The Mill Creek Park Public Hearing regarding drilling in the park is happening at virtually the same time today.

According to the TV news, this meeting is about leasing the city's mineral rights.  Why wasn't this information listed in the agenda section of the newspaper?

This information appeared in the newspaper.  This meeting is not on council's regular meeting day nor at the regular meeting time.
