Title: Eating out verses eating in
Post by: Towntalk on October 24, 2012, 05:36:08 PM
Go to any local restaurant and you pay through the nose for a dinner ... by going on line to such sites as Mr. Food and at home you can make the very same dishes for half the price and feed the whole family. Mr. Food today prepared a dish that you'd pay $20.00 a dish (one person) plus tips and he prepared that very same dish and at half the price and in a quanity that would feed four to six.

Now I have absolutely nothing against dining out, but I also have nothing against keeping my money in my own pocket. There are foods that in a restaurant are better than I can make at home such as pizza. but by building up a well stocked pantry, I can prepare meals worthy of the finest restaurant in town at prices that are well within my food budget, and put the savings back for a rainy day.
