mahoningvalley front page

Hi all,

I did a load time check on the mahoningvalley main page and it lags due to the direct connection with the forum calendar, latest forum posts, and events list.

I don't like lag.  I like for pages to load switfly for all users.

In your opinion what is the most important item to include on the front page of the mahoningvalley site?
