Residents can now get an updated Youngstown crime map and alerts via cell phone or email after the Police Department launched the new program on Friday.

Police and BAIR Analytics created an online crime map called RAIDS Online. The realtime map will also analyze types of crimes in different neighborhoods and other functions.

Citizens can also submit anonymous tips about crime.
