All the details of Governor Kasich's state budget were released yesterday afternoon.  We've got some initial reactions and talking points, but mostly we want YOU to speak up & learn at a town hall event.

This budget includes a major tax shift with income tax cuts that benefit the weathy the most.  Income tax cuts in 2005 didn't bring jobs and growth, so why should we do it again?  The tax cuts lead to vital service cuts, like the billions slashed from K-12 education, local governments and more in our current state budget. Investments like Medicaid expansion, which would help hundreds of thousands of Ohioans and create jobs, are the right choice for Ohio.  But we need to do much, much more to pave the way to a prosperous future.
The first town hall will be in Athens on February 25th, then we're planning events in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Akron, Dayton, Toledo, and more.  Please come, bring a friend or neighbor, and share your story or ask your question because the state budget does affect you!
