Title: Boom boxes
Post by: PMDragon on March 23, 2009, 08:20:40 PM
Ok, now that Spring has sprung, so has an abundance of boom boxes. What's being done to crack down on them? It's really worse than ever, here around Hilton-Erie-Judson-Ravenwood area. Especially for people who work midnight shifts and have to try to sleep during daylight hours. If YPD really wants to pick-up some extra fines just position a car around the Hilton-Erie area. Not only can they get a lot of noise violations but also people constantly driving through stop signs at Hilton-Erie without stopping.

Someone from that area brought up the issue of the stop sign crashing at the Seventh Ward Town Hall Meeting last Thursday.

I have talked to 6th Ward Council member Janet Tarpley and she told me that she is going to start a Block watch in that area.  Residents must start and continue to call the police and complain.  There are no easy answers.
