Title: Wheelers Potato Chips
Post by: jay on January 09, 2013, 08:23:53 PM
I just acquired a large metal can from Wheelers Potato Chips of Youngstown, Ohio.

Does anyone know the history of this brand/company.

If I'm not mistaken, they were located on the East Side on Prospect Street. They also sold bottled water.

If it's the same family/firm, which I believe it was, they also owned Wheeler's Restaurant on Market Street in the Uptown area, about 2 doors north of Indianola Ave.  They only used cottonseed oil and made the best potato chips ever...
