I'm only obligated to do what I need to do to get where I am going.  Most of the current speed limits were enacted when the roads were not as highly engineered and cars were not as technologically advanced.  Its time to increase all speed limits by at least 10 mph, and some roads by 15 mph to get the limits in line with how people actually drive.

Maybe so...

But in the mean time, drivers are obligated to follow the posted speed
limit unless or until the speed limit is changed....under the law.

The YPD is in the process of issuing over 1,000 citations as part of the department's new officer-held speed camera program.  Most of the citations are for speeding on the freeway.
