FROM Chris Travers:

Tom Hetrick, Neighborhood Planner for YNDC, announced in an email today to a few city officials and Brownlee Woods stakeholders that the Hine Fund has approved a grant to build ADA-compliant walkways at Lynn Park. Getting from the pavilion to the parking lot, the Lynn sidewalk, and the restrooms - as well as just taking a walk around the park on the existing path - will be much easier. ADA means they will be wide enough to accommodate any person with a disability (anyone who needs a cane, crutch, walker, wheelchair, for instance).

Much of the credit for this successful funding belongs to Nancy Martin.
Without her vision, leadership, and steady work, this likely would not have happened.
