This is fantastic news.....  Doubletree and the Hilton brand are a CLASS ACT. 

Everyone knows the brand.  This will be another catalyst in the slow steady growth of the downtown. 

Between the University, hospitals, YSU, Stambaugh Auditorium, the Covelli Center, DeYor center, America Makes,
Small Business Incubator, etc. he will have decent occupancy.  The multi use/multi tenant plan for that building
will be the icing on the cake.

Congratulations, Mr. Marchionda, for landing a franchise in the Hilton brand - albeit a little
premature.

DoubleTree is a very nice hotel.  When Ed has to go to the Cleveland VA for tests and scans and we have to stay over, the VA puts us up in the downtown Cleveland DoubleTree.

Marchionda announced when his company NYO Property Group purchased the building a while back that it was going to be a hotel.
He didn't say which one though, so now we know.

At an earlier time in local history, the Park Hotel was located on that corner. Here is the only picture of that hotel that I could locate. Sorry about the quality.
