Well if it was a clean bill without all the pork that was thrown in, the bill would have sailed right through.

It was a CLEAN bill with NO amendments in the House. "Clean" = No Pork.

Harry Reid put in amendments to add pork to benefit southern states to gain the support of seven Republican senators to achieve a fillibuster proof piece of legislation.

The "clean" 10 billion Sandy aid bill has passed the House.  The larger "pork" bill is coming up next.

Rick: Do I understand you right that the Sandy Aid is nothing more nor less than pure pork, and Congress has no business bailing out the people who were hit by Sandy?. I guess that in your world the government would never come to the aid of folks whose lives were torn apart by natural disasters.

The Sandy bill that passed today was only a partial downpayment of disaster relief. Another bill will be coming in the next couple of weeks.

Yes, they kicked the can down the road again, this time for a good reason but I bet that on the 15th there is a pork filled bill, and that it gets passed.....

sarge, what is the good reason?
Title: Re: Congressional Republican Fury Erupts

Because the Senate bill that is supposed to help the Sandy victims is packed full of pork that had nothing to do with Sandy....

So the house sent the senate a bill that was strictly a small stop gap measure for Sandy victims....And the Senate ok'd it.....

They will take up the pork filled bill on the 15th....And i hope they cut the pork out and send it back to the senate...

Sure iwasthere, I would love to know what your own special definition of class and credibility is, because it sure does not fit the generally accepted definition.  You demonstrate absolutely no class whatsoever with your repeated personal attacks.  I come here to debate issues but you continue to make personal attacks.  You claim to have been a teacher but cannot seem to put together a complete sentence to convey your thoughts.  You admit to taking actions to sabotage me on at least one occasion.  WHO, pray tell, would ever be so blind to think you have integrity when you so blatantly betray the trust placed in you, then go out to the world to brag about it?  Who would ever think you were a competent teacher after reading just one paragraph that you have written on this forum?

I have never taken you up on your stupid little get together offers because I happen to have work to do, something that may be foreign to you.  You claim to have stopped by the Tod Engine, well I don't believe that for one moment.  Even if you did I would kick you off the property!

Good grief Towntalk, I need not bother posting at all if you just want to make up what I say out of thin air!  No you do not have it right.  Sarge explained it quite well so I do not need to repeat.

But you do need to have that liberal bias filter removed from your glasses.  They do you a disservice.

I simply asked you to point out the pork that is in the bill for Sandy relief, and that is not a "liberal" statement, but simply a request for you to provide us with precise evidence of unrelated pork in the bill, and that is a quite reasonable request that has nothing to do with political ideology

Here is an exact copy of the bill in question, now using it for point of reference, please be so kind as to show us were there is unrelated pork in it by citing sections and lines and not hearsay.

http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr1eas/pdf/BILLS-112hr1eas.pdf

Who knows, if you can and do provide us with concrete evidence, I might agree with you, but I need to have exact sections of the bill referenced, and not undocumented statements.

To help you I have provided a link to the bill in question.

Ricky, Iwasthere did visit your Tod Engine Park....I know...I drove him there...and all we saw was a pole barn behind a 6 foot covered fence...looks like nothing more than an old junkyard for used car parts.....

I would love be there when you try to kick him off your property....I don't think you can kick a can....

If you stop at The Tod Engine Park went it's open, you'll get alot more from your visit.

As for kicking iwt off the property, Rick would be well within his rights, especially considering iwt's active dislike of him and his project.

What does Rick's museum have to do with the topic as originally posted? Absolutely nothing.

I haven't seen Rick's museum, but given the state of my health, there's a lot of things I haven't seen, and may never see, and while I might not agree with Rick 100%, I respect him as I do everyone else here, and it would be kinna nice if in the event we have a beef, make it evident in a new thread so that we can stay on topic, is that asking too much?

16 PROCUREMENT
17 PROCUREMENT OF AMMUNITION, ARMY
18 For an additional amount for ''Procurement of Ammunition, Army'', $1,310,000,

tt. rr attack me in this blog without warrant. rr i told you many times come and give me several lessons in the king's English. if you are teacher material go back to college for an degree in education and you can show off all your knowledge to the world. you cannot do the talk, if you cannot do the walk. ibc and iwt passed rr museum several times before finding it that was nothing but a pole barn with a wire fence around. rr your musem does not jump out to the naked eye. rr you must make your museam pleasing to the eye to bring the public into your project. rr you are mad at me because i expose your phoniness on this blog. admit that you are for yourself, no big deal with me but you must be honest with your fellow loggers.
