i want to know if these japanese beetles came to usa through customs? have a work permit? have a sponor? take any jobs off of other beetles that are here legally?

I haven't seen any additional beetles since my last report.  My roses, which usually attract the most, are beetle-free this summer.

Could be the early heat? I know my Lilacs and Roses did terrible this year because of it. But then again I still see hundreds of those other beetles that I don't know what they are...

I've only seen four Japanese Beetles so far this season.  Maybe all the trapping I did for the past three years has been successful.  Maybe the beetles haven't all emerged from the ground yet.

I saw the first one of the year - yesterday - nibbling on a tender Sassyfrass Tree - my friend Mary and I just planted.   :o

Haven't seen any on my roses so far, but then it's been so hot they have been burning up before we could enjoy them. And I can't water them right now. Another week before I can really do anything outside.....
