The ice sculptures are super fantasticly wonders and a must see this weekend. They are works of art. Belly up to the ice sculptur bar. It's beautiful.

Dooney's Downtown Bar and Grill in Youngstown kicked off its Winterfest festival on Friday night.

The outdoor and indoor festival runs through Sunday and features live music, food and drinks. But the focal point of the festival is the ice sculptures, which are displayed on the bar's outdoor patio.

Anthony Palumbo, Dooney's part-owner, chef and manager, helped ice sculptor Jeff Kaiser create frozen sculptures from 9,000 pounds of ice. Among the designs is a bar, a Dooney's sign, a chair and a putting green.

Guests will be able to order shots at the ice bar and win prizes for their putting skills.

"We wanted to embrace winter. And to carve ice," Palumbo said. "My friend Jeff and I have been doing ice sculpting for several years, so we decided to go for it."

He said the ice bar alone took 6,000 pounds of ice and 20 hours to complete.
