In my book, I document two Indian villages in the Youngstown area ... on in what is now Lincoln Park and one in the Fosterville area. The one in Lincoln Park was abandoned shortly after the French and Indian war when a tornado hit the village killing a number of the Indians including one of the Chiefs, and little is known about the village in the Fosterville area other than the fact that a number of the winter homes were found there by Col. Foster who bought the land.

Over the early years in Youngstown, roaming tribes use to pass through Youngstown, and both John Young and James Hillman were familiar with Indians who use to go to Salt Springs.

This is also documented in my book.
