1. Local Election Results- Dennis Spisak won Re-Election to the Struthers City
Schools Board of Education with 20% of the vote.

2. State CC Report- Gave brief report on why the State CC opposed State Issues
1,2,& 3 in the November election.

3. HB 260 Update- With the possibility of statewide Green candidates needing
only 500 valid signatures to secure a place on the 2010 ballot, THE MAHONING
VALEY GREENS WERE UNITED THAT WE RUN A GREEN PARTY CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR IN
2010!

4. Future Meeting Places- It was suggested that holding meeting in a business
instead of a restaurant may increase membership at meetings, Jim Vilanti donated
use of his office space, The Pig Iron Press, to hold the December 14, 2009
meeting at his location. Thanks Jim.

5.Youngstown Holiday Parade- The Mahoning Valley Greens will be looking to march
in this parade and support SPAN Ohio.

6. Passenger Rail Service-Youngstown-Pittsburgh-Cleveland corridor- an updated
report on the possibility of such service was given. The Greens will man a table
at the big Youngstown Model Railroad Train
Convention in January to promote this effort and advertise for the Green Party.

7. Buy Nothing Day- Each individual was asked not to shop on Black Friday. Stay
home, avoid the crowds, and enjoy leftover turkey. But do buy local for
Christmas later in the year.
