We've taken some licks -- that's for sure. Youngstown was the third
largest steel producer in the nation at one time. After several steel
mills closed, a once booming industrial center struggled and faded.
The steel mills were the basis of the community and were responsible
for the area's economic boom and the wonderful mix of cultures. The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor hosts the local archives for the Ohio Historical Society. The Arms family Museum hosts the Mahoning Valley Historical Society. An article outlining Youngstown's History
can be found in the wikipedia. We will remember our past as we move
forward and explore other industrial and technological avenues. Youngstown 2010 is the long range plan to bring the city into a new century full of promise and growth potential.

look into. It has been noted to have the most affordable housing in the
nation. The cultural diversity makes for interesting eating and our
residents can always find entertainment and educational activities.
